For those passionate about literature and composition, the Department of English and Modern Languages helps develop analytical reading, structured thinking, and investigative methods. You'll also hone your creativity through our writing-focused courses. Our distinguished faculty—recognized educators and accomplished writers—provide personalized attention in intimate classroom settings. Students can specialize in one of two concentrations: The Creative Writing track cultivates research abilities, composition techniques, editorial skills, and narrative craft while creating original fiction, poetry, drama, and essays.
