FinTech (Financial Technology) represents a rapidly expanding $30 billion industry that leverages technology to enable countless daily financial operations. Atlanta serves as the epicenter of this field, hosting over 100 FinTech firms that handle 70% of U.S. credit, debit, and prepaid card payments—totaling $3.5 trillion each year. The city and state boast major FinTech players like First Data, Fiserv, Equifax, Global Payments, NCR, and Incomm, alongside emerging innovators such as Acculynk, Cardlytics, GreenSky, Kabbage, and Parkmobile. Collectively, this sector employs over 30,000 professionals, with increasing demand for qualified talent.

Georgia's Full-Time MBA program offers a FinTech specialization, equipping students with academic knowledge and hands-on project experience to launch careers in this dynamic field.

As the services sector drives more than 70% of U.S. economic output, effective human resource management has become a critical priority for modern corporations. Georgia's MBA Human Resource Management concentration takes an interdisciplinary approach, blending coursework from the Terry College of Business and College of Education. Participants develop skills in data analytics, employment law, risk assessment, leadership strategies, and organizational planning—creating a data-driven framework for managing workforce challenges in complex enterprises.

Transcripts
The University of Georgia requires that all applicants possess a baccalaureate degree, or a foreign equivalent, from a regionally accredited institution to apply for admission to the MBA program. Please refer to the Graduate School website for more specific information about requirements for domestic and international students. Additionally, candidates are expected to have a minimum 3.0 GPA. You can still apply if you do not meet the minimum requirement for the GPA, but it is highly recommended that you submit an optional essay addressing your academic performance. Official transcripts will be required after admission.

GMAT or GRE
We accept both the GRE and the GMAT, but the GMAT is preferred. We do not have a minimum score requirement for either test, but please refer to our Class Profile to understand the average applicant profile. We highly encourage candidates to take time to prepare before test day. Many online resources are available to assist you, including practice tests. You can register for the GMAT at mba.com. An official score report will be required after admission.

TOEFL or IELTS
Non-native English speakers must submit scores for either the TOEFL or the IELTS. The Admissions Committee looks for a minimum overall score of 100 for the TOEFL or an overall band score of 7.0 for the IELTS. An official score report will be required after admission. Please read the International Students page for more detailed information.
