The University of Georgia provides Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy programs in toxicology. For the Master's degree, students must complete at least 30 credit hours of graduate-level courses, with a minimum of 12 credits restricted to graduate students only. The PhD program requires 30 credit hours of coursework, including three dedicated to dissertation research, along with ongoing research enrollment each term.
UGA's Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program brings together graduate students, faculty, researchers, and post-doctoral associates from multiple university departments. Dedicated to outstanding graduate education and cutting-edge research, the program has earned national acclaim for both faculty and student achievements. Our mission focuses on delivering rigorous interdisciplinary training, research initiatives, and service programs in toxicology. We foster collaboration across colleges—including Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Veterinary Medicine—through shared resources and faculty expertise.
