Students will gain technical expertise across various fine-art printmaking techniques such as intaglio, relief, screen printing, digital printing, letterpress, book arts, papermaking, and lithography. The printmaking and book arts program allows students to deeply explore these disciplines within a professional studio setting. They examine historical contexts, critical theories, and contemporary approaches to time-based art, prioritizing creative expression, adaptability, and poetic vision over purely digital technical abilities. A dedicated computer lab supports digital imaging, video editing, and robotic programming, while the CNC fabrication facility, haptic technology lab, and 3D stereo thermojet lithographic printing expand possibilities in sculpture. This program focuses on researching and experimenting with technology and time-based artistic forms. Students must develop proficiency in these areas, demonstrating the ability to transform conceptual ideas into visually poetic works.
