The Print Media Emphasis explores innovative artistic methods through cross-disciplinary experimentation using mark-making techniques and gestural approaches with physical, mechanical, and digital instruments. Students build a solid grounding in art history and theory, enhanced by examinations of historical, conceptual, and critical perspectives on print media, creating a structure for exploring technical and material dimensions of print-based work. The program investigates manual, photographic, and digital printing methods, focusing on dynamic material experimentation. This emphasis supports diverse printmaking approaches, integrating two- and three-dimensional multiples, artist books, installations, performances, documentation, and other mixed-media expressions.
