The Classics program at the University of Georgia allows students to explore Greek and Roman civilization through literature, history, archaeology, art, philosophy, and religion, with optional language study in Latin and/or Greek.
Students can choose an Archaeology Concentration to focus on classical archaeology while gaining hands-on fieldwork experience at ancient sites.
Graduates pursue diverse careers including secondary education, museum curation, library science, publishing, tourism, and government service. The program also provides excellent preparation for graduate studies in classics, history, linguistics, and related fields, as well as professional paths in law, media, and corporate sectors.
