The University of Florida's Master of Sustainable Development Practice (MDP) program delivers a cross-disciplinary education combining health sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, and management training through hands-on research and applied learning. This comprehensive foundation allows students to focus on specific interest areas from the university's wide-ranging academic offerings.
Students gain the skills to implement holistic solutions for improving economic access, healthcare systems, governance participation, and ecological protection across Latin America, Africa, and other global regions. Alumni join the ranks of development experts working with international NGOs, corporations, government agencies, and policy organizations.

The MDP program fosters an engaged community between students and professors. Participants must demonstrate mastery of key competencies, assessed through faculty-designed learning benchmarks.

The University of Florida provides both a Master's degree and a Certificate in Sustainable Development Practice. This section details both graduate-level academic options.
