Graduate students undertake independent research projects, shaped by group discussions, studio critiques, and faculty guidance. They integrate photographic techniques and ideas with diverse investigative approaches, spanning time-based work, performance, thematic exploration, and theoretical frameworks. We value our collaborative connections across the School of Art and Art History—including sculpture, painting, printmaking, and performance—as well as disciplines beyond, such as English, Film Studies, and Architecture, considering them vital assets for cross-disciplinary dialogue. The Program also examines the role of media images in industry, institutions, and public engagement. While traditional exhibition spaces remain an option, we prioritize exploring or establishing unconventional venues in public settings. Here, public space is defined not just by physical location but also as a platform for creative intervention. Additionally, we encourage collaborative projects among students or with external organizations and industries.
