Oceans play a vital role in our planet's ecosystem: spanning over 70% of the Earth's surface, they supply sustenance, enable transportation, offer natural resources, and significantly influence weather patterns. Yet, the depths of our oceans remain mostly uncharted, representing one of science's final unexplored domains. Aquatic ecosystems are constantly changing, shaped by complex interactions between biological, chemical, and physical forces. The university advocates for cross-disciplinary marine science programs to equip students for successful careers in academia and industry. This collaborative degree program, developed with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, allows students to customize their coursework to align with personal interests and professional aspirations.
