The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences acknowledges that students may have academic and career aspirations spanning multiple fields, including disciplines not officially offered at the university. Given the growing importance of interdisciplinary methods, studies, and educational initiatives across liberal arts, sciences, and other areas, UF offers students the opportunity to design and follow interdisciplinary (IDS) majors that integrate knowledge from diverse academic fields.
This initiative delivers comprehensive training in biological illustration for those aiming to collaborate with museums, university departments specializing in botany, zoology, entomology, anthropology, or medicine, as well as botanical gardens and research institutions.
Due to the personalized instructional approach, program enrollment is limited. Only a select number of highly qualified applicants are accepted annually.
