Biology offers a comprehensive understanding of living organisms, covering their structure, functions, development, origins, evolutionary processes, and habitats. Students pursuing biology study subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, and statistics. This adaptable program leverages the expertise and facilities of two UF colleges to equip students for professional achievement. The Biology curriculum builds core knowledge about animals, plants, and microbes. The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences provides four specialized tracks designed for preprofessional students, those aiming for advanced biology studies, or focused fields like bioinformatics, ecology, genetics, and molecular biology, as well as individuals pursuing careers in biotechnology, education, natural resource conservation, or environmental and biotech law.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
Effective with the fall 2018 entering class, the university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
Minimum scores requirements are as follows:
TOEFL: Paper-Based: 550; Internet-Based: 80
IELTS: 6
