The classical studies program is an interdisciplinary field offering concentrations in ancient languages, classical civilization, and teaching certification, providing students with comprehensive knowledge of Greek and Roman history, literature, and culture. These three tracks mandate fluency in either Latin or ancient Greek. A fourth option in modern Greek focuses on contemporary Greek language, literature, and cultural studies, requiring modern Greek proficiency. Classical studies graduates frequently continue their education in fields like classical philology, art history, archaeology, comparative literature, or museum curation. Career prospects vary based on the chosen specialization.
