Our Education Specialist (Ed.S.) program provides hands-on training, research possibilities, and comprehensive curriculum. You'll develop the expertise to support children across all developmental stages (from birth to age 21) and their families in educational or community environments.
Early Childhood School Psychology Focus Area (Optional)
Students can complete 12 additional credit hours of integrated foundational and applied coursework beyond the standard Ed.S. requirements to specialize in Early Childhood School Psychology.
Professional Credentials
Upon finishing our Ed.S. program and successfully passing the Praxis II/NASP certification examination, graduates qualify for National Association of School Psychologists certification and Colorado state licensure as school psychologists. The University of Denver has not currently verified if the program satisfies licensure criteria in other states or U.S. territories. Prospective students seeking licensure outside Colorado should consult their state's Department of Education regarding program eligibility.
