Our doctoral program is designed for aspiring counseling psychologists. Through a combination of academic study and practical training, you'll develop the ability to critically assess theories and research while deepening your insight into the populations you'll work with.
The curriculum includes specialized concentrations, allowing you to enhance your expertise and better address the social and personal issues clients face. Participants will learn to incorporate research findings into clinical work and base their practice on empirical evidence. Faculty research specialties encompass:

Completion requires at least 90 quarter credits. Additional requirements consist of:
Two supervised clinical placements
A year-long, full-time predoctoral internship
Comprehensive examinations
A preliminary research project
A doctoral thesis
