The PhD degree is awarded to individuals who have shown significant academic achievement and the capacity to perform autonomous research and analysis in Psychology. Students usually specialize in one of Psychology's various subfields. The program focuses on cultivating research proficiency across all specializations, while promoting the acquisition of skills and perspectives conducive to sustained research excellence. Social psychology examines the dynamic relationship between individual cognition and societal influences, employing experimental approaches to investigate diverse facets of human behavior. Our research encompasses subjects such as discrimination and stereotypes, interpersonal perception, societal expectations, dispute mediation, cognitive biases, emotional mechanisms, cross-cultural cognition, ethical reasoning, prosocial and aggressive behaviors, self-concept development, attitude formation and change, and goal-directed behavior.
