The Bachelor of Music in Recording and Production program equips students with engineering and production skills across diverse musical styles including jazz, classical, pop, rock, and more. This competitive program offers conservatory-caliber training within a dynamic liberal arts environment. Participants receive specialized music instruction (classical or jazz), explore music history and theory, while mastering the craft of creating exceptional audio recordings.
Lamont's harp program leverages abundant performance possibilities, engaging students in symphony orchestras, operas, and various ensembles from chamber to contemporary groups. Graduates leave Lamont ready for diverse career paths, whether in professional orchestras, education, or independent performance. Harp students receive instruction from Courtney Hershey Bress.
Courtney Hershey Bress serves as Principal Harpist for the Colorado Symphony. Her distinguished career includes performances with the Singapore Symphony and Chicago Symphony orchestras. Currently holding the principal position at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, she previously served as Principal Harpist for both the United States Army Field Band and Baltimore Symphony. Her festival appearances include Grand Teton Music Festival, Strings Music Festival, and Colorado College Summer Music Festival. In May 2023, Ms. Bress premiered Michael Daugherty's harp concerto, a work she co-commissioned with the Colorado Symphony.
