Piano Performance Majors and Principals must complete an audition to gain admission to the piano program. This evaluation will establish their starting level in applied music and potential scholarship eligibility. All pieces must be memorized. Out-of-area applicants (outside Miami-Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach counties) may submit video recordings, which should clearly display the performer's hands, arms, upper body, and face. Every music school applicant, whether pursuing a major or minor, must audition with their primary instrument or voice—this applies to both incoming freshmen and transfer students.
