Refine your violin skills and establish a strong musical foundation through a Performance major. The prestigious Fred Fox School of Music provides violin students opportunities to learn alongside talented peers, distinguished faculty performers, and respected music experts. Those pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Violin focus must also audition for placement to fulfill large-ensemble participation requirements. Performance groups include the Arizona Symphony and Philharmonic, with Mariachi Arizona offering an alternative that celebrates cultural musical traditions. Undergraduate violinists explore string instrument methods, musical repertoire, teaching techniques, historical and cultural music studies, among other subjects.
Students must have high school equivalent to USA and entry requirements vary from country to country. International applicants whose primary language is not English, or who attended school in a non-English speaking country, regardless of citizenship, must prove English proficiency. English proficiency may be proven by one or more of the following:

IB (English A – Higher Level) - 5 or higher
