The Nutrition program is ideal for students passionate about teaching others about proper nutrition and fostering healthy eating habits. Alongside core studies in social sciences, chemistry, biology, and nutritional science, this major enables students to pair nutrition with complementary disciplines, equipping them to advocate for health and wellness across diverse populations. With roughly 35 elective credits available, the Nutrition major appeals to those with wide-ranging health interests beyond just dietary science. Students can integrate Nutrition with fields like health behavior, public health, exercise science, food science, psychology, communications, leadership, or business. Beyond the standard Nutrition major, the Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition also provides specialized programs in Nutrition and Dietetics as well as Nutrition and Medical Sciences.
