The Food and Agribusiness Marketing and Management program integrates marketing, management, sales, and business principles into the food and fiber sector. Learners receive comprehensive business education through collaboration between two University of Delaware colleges. The curriculum starts with foundational business concepts, accounting, and marketing studies before specializing in food marketing, HR management, strategic sales techniques, buyer communications, biotech economics, global trade, entrepreneurship, food retail operations, and consumer behavior. Students examine the entire food supply chain from production to consumption, mastering how to promote diverse food products ranging from breakfast cereals to Perdue poultry. The program also emphasizes building data proficiency, conducting statistical evaluations, interpreting consumer research, and designing effective surveys.
