Communication studies examines how people exchange information through various methods. Communication occurs between individuals, through media platforms, and across cultures, taking place in both professional and personal spheres.
Those earning a Communication Studies degree can explore numerous exciting career paths. Graduates often enter communication-focused roles in corporate environments, legal fields, government, community services, journalism, and academia. Since strong communication abilities are highly valued by employers, this degree equips students with fundamental knowledge and transferable skills applicable to any industry or organization, whether public or private.
UWL's Communication Studies program also prepares students for advanced education in areas like corporate communications, digital media, global affairs, healthcare communication, and academic administration. The curriculum establishes a strong base for those considering postgraduate work in communication fields, therapy, campus leadership, religious studies, or legal education.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
