The UD Ancient Greek and Roman Studies Program enables students to deeply explore the civilizations of Ancient Greece and Rome. This academic discipline examines every facet of Greco-Roman culture and its enduring impact from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance to modern times. The curriculum extends beyond language and literature to encompass material culture (including art history and archaeology), along with economic, political, social, and intellectual history, plus philosophy, religion, and mythology. Distinct from most fields, Ancient Greek and Roman Studies offers a genuinely interdisciplinary approach, creating exceptional opportunities for students with diverse interests and professional aspirations.
