The Master of Humanities and Social Science programs (MHMSS) at CU Denver attract students with diverse interests who seek to explore concepts through multiple perspectives. Both the MH and MSS degrees allow students to enroll in cross-disciplinary courses across the university, creating personalized academic paths that transcend conventional departmental divisions. This interdisciplinary approach fosters creative problem-solving and cultivates specialized analytical abilities essential for today's evolving global landscape.
The Master of Humanities program enables students to customize their education according to their personal goals. Working closely with faculty advisors, participants design distinctive study plans by integrating various disciplines including History, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Film, Gender Studies, Public Policy, Fine Arts, Sociology, Literature, Anthropology, Communications, Political Science, and Economics.
The Social Justice Track serves students pursuing careers with advocacy groups, those aiming for advanced degrees, professionals seeking social justice expertise, and secondary educators in humanities and social sciences.
