The Graduate Teacher Education program results in a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and initial teaching certification. It develops educators who honor cultural diversity, work collaboratively with families and communities, and possess the expertise to build dynamic, challenging learning environments where every student thrives. We collaborate with P-12 educators across the CU Denver Professional Development School Network, which includes more than 20 urban schools throughout Denver's metropolitan area. Throughout the program, teacher candidates experience a full academic year of teaching through sequential residency placements in professional development schools.
