Embark on a career as a language educator and unlock a universe of possibilities for coming generations. Despite Oregon's strong focus on International Baccalaureate programs and language immersion schools, the state still faces a critical need for skilled world language instructors.
Our intensive one-year program seeks bilingual individuals proficient in French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, or Spanish who are dedicated to enhancing language education. This certification prepares you to teach world languages at both middle and high school levels (grades 5-12).
Our mission is to develop scholars and professionals who drive transformative impact across local, tribal, national, and global communities, foster critical thinking through humanities and scientific approaches, and pioneer cross-disciplinary advancements in education.

UOTeach's secondary education licensure program offers a complete master's degree in education along with certification for those looking to translate their academic knowledge into middle and high school teaching careers.
