The Environmental Engineering M.S., Professional M.S., and Ph.D. programs leverage enduring collaborations between faculty and researchers at CU-Boulder institutes and nearby federal labs. These programs also draw strength from the well-established prestige of environmental engineering teams across participating departments. This recognition is reflected in U.S. News & World Report's 2017 ranking, which placed our Graduate Program 9th nationally (7th among public institutions) for Best Engineering Schools in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering. The Professional Master of Science requires completion of thirty semester hours of graduate coursework, offering two specialization paths: General Environmental Engineering and Engineering for Developing Communities.
