The College of Music offers a specialized Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration, equipping students with essential management expertise for careers in the performing arts sector. Through innovative hybrid classes that connect Boulder-based students with remote participants in a collaborative boardroom environment, learners develop a deep understanding of both the prospects and obstacles confronting modern arts administrators. This certificate program serves dual purposes: enhancing current graduate degrees with a practical qualification while offering working professionals an accessible, affordable credential option. The program welcomes both employed professionals and CU Boulder graduate students pursuing degrees in music, theater, or dance.
Applicants must:
Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, or have done work equivalent to that required for such a degree.
Show promise of ability to pursue advanced study and research, as judged by the student’s scholastic record.
Have adequate preparation to enter graduate study in the chosen field. Have at least a 2.75 (2.00=C) undergraduate grade point average.
All international applicants are required to meet a minimum standard of English proficiency.
