The Journalism Studies PhD program, provided by the Department of Journalism, represents one of three unique pathways within the Media Research and Practice doctoral degree offered by the College of Media, Communication and Information.
This doctoral program emphasizes investigating the connections between journalism, professional practice, and societal influences. Coursework provides students with fundamental knowledge of mass communication theories and research methodologies.
