The Master of Music curriculum includes both performance components (private lessons, board exams, recitals, ensemble work) and academic coursework covering music theory, history, graduate-level research, writing, and elective studies. CCM alumni establish careers across all areas of the performing arts and entertainment fields, working as solo performers, chamber musicians, and members of prestigious orchestras, opera companies, military ensembles, jazz groups, and more. Many graduates also become private instructors or pursue further advanced education.
As part of the University of Cincinnati - a leading research university with over 40,000 students - CCM benefits from its position within a comprehensive public institution. This unique environment shapes CCM's mission: to cultivate complete artists and scholars prepared for global careers in the arts.
