Admission Requirements
Bachelor's degree in music (or comparable qualification)
Minimum 3.0 GPA in the final 60 credit hours
Completion of 2 undergraduate conducting courses
Prior conducting background
Applicants lacking these prerequisites may need to complete additional coursework as part of their degree plan.

Only one course with a grade below B- can be applied toward degree completion.
Mandatory completion of at least three credits each in music theory and history.
Electives may include 7000-level or above courses in music or other disciplines, selected with advisor approval
Conducting students must showcase their skills through two 45-minute recitals or equivalent large ensemble conducting performances.
