The CACREP-accredited PhD in Counselor Education equips graduates with advanced research, teaching, and supervision capabilities through an ecological lens. Participants choose among three specialization tracks: multicultural/social justice, substance abuse counseling, or school counseling. The program fosters scholars dedicated to advancing their research and instructional abilities while cultivating service-oriented leadership skills for diverse communities, with particular attention to marginalized populations. Ideal applicants demonstrate clinical proficiency from their Master's education, enabling the curriculum to concentrate on refining research methodologies, pedagogical approaches, supervisory techniques, and leadership development.
