The University of Cincinnati's top-rated Doctor of Audiology program equips students for a rewarding career in audiology through comprehensive training. This intensive program covers hearing and balance disorders while offering hands-on clinical practice. Designed to deliver advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills, the curriculum spans nine consecutive semesters - including summer terms - culminating in a full-year clinical externship and capstone project.
Students gain expertise across all professional domains, studying anatomy, physiology, hearing assessment, balance evaluation, hearing aid technology, implantable devices, and rehabilitation techniques to treat patients of all age groups effectively.
Graduates qualify for American Board of Audiology certification, state licensure, and can pursue ASHA's Clinical Competence in Audiology credential. The program also prepares students for educational audiology certification and specialized animal audiology certification.
