The Critical Visions certificate is a collaborative initiative between the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. This program focuses on two key objectives: (1) Enhancing students' awareness of the societal and political impacts embedded in visual culture, spanning advertising, media, scientific imagery, and countercultural expressions. (2) Fostering innovative creative approaches that challenge conventional visual narratives and worldviews. Participants culminate their studies by contributing to CVSN, a biannual scholarly publication blending critical theory with artistic practice.
