The Master of Science program in the Physical Sciences Division offers adaptable, personalized academic paths. Under mentorship from a senior faculty advisor, students tailor their curriculum to align with their academic background and career aspirations. While each student's journey differs, the MS-PSD may be right for you if:
You hold (or will soon earn) a science degree but need expertise in a different scientific discipline for your research.
You aim to pursue a PhD but require additional coursework or research preparation.
Your career goals demand advanced training in a physical sciences field.
Since MS-PSD participants select courses across Physical Sciences Division departments, applicants should thoroughly explore faculty expertise and available courses in their chosen specialization.
Applicants to our graduate and professional programs are expected to be enrolled in or to have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university. Applicants from a three-year bachelor’s program will be given due consideration. Because all of our programs feature competitive admission, no particular academic degree or background will guarantee admission to one of our graduate divisions.
