The Social Psychology Program is shaped by its faculty members, current and former students, along with the unique training and research prospects offered at the University of Chicago. Key aspects of the Program include: First, it is intentionally structured as a compact, highly collaborative hub for training and research. Second, the curriculum equips students with interdisciplinary, multi-level analytical skills to explore social psychological phenomena. Third, the program emphasizes the dynamic interplay between theory and methodology in scientific inquiry. Central to the training are five foundational values: scientific expertise & ethical conduct, lifelong scholarly pursuit, individual and collective accountability, strategic prioritization, and student autonomy. These principles are implemented through coursework, research projects, professional engagements, and mentorship. The program presents various pathways, allowing students to select opportunities that align with their goals.
