Enhance your expertise in consumer behavior or economics/quantitative methods to pursue opportunities at top-tier research institutions. Our Marketing PhD Program provides a robust theoretical framework while strengthening your analytical capabilities. You'll enjoy the freedom to investigate marketing concepts at Chicago Booth while enrolling in cross-disciplinary courses spanning psychology, sociology, economics, computer science, and statistics throughout the university. Additionally, you can take computer science classes at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC). The doctoral program adopts a comprehensive view of marketing, examining the dynamic relationships between businesses, competitors, and customers. This encompasses diverse areas including consumer preferences, purchasing behavior, firm competition strategies, pricing models, advertising approaches, market segmentation, product development, and distribution channel considerations.
Applicants to our graduate and professional programs are expected to be enrolled in or to have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university. Applicants from a three-year bachelor’s program will be given due consideration. Because all of our programs feature competitive admission, no particular academic degree or background will guarantee admission to one of our graduate divisions.
