In the BA and BS neuroscience programs, students explore the brain and nervous system from multiple academic perspectives, building upon foundational calculus and chemistry knowledge gained through the Core curriculum. Following introductory courses in neuroscience, statistics, and physics, learners can select specialized electives in Neurobiology, Psychology, Computer Science, Physics, and Biology. During their senior year, students may collaborate with renowned University of Chicago faculty on original research projects. Those passionate about neuroscience can alternatively pursue a Biological Science major with a Neuroscience concentration. The Neuroscience minor is designed to offer fundamental neuroscientific understanding for students focusing primarily on other disciplines.
Students are required to have high school equivalent of US qualification.
Applicants are required to have score of 100 or higher on the Internet-Based TOEFL or 600 or higher on the Paper-Based TOEFL. Minimum required scores on the IELTS are an overall score of 7.0, with subs cores of 7.0 each. The minimum acceptable score on the PTE is 70
