Qualification Requirements

To be accepted into this program, a student must have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.75 and a minimum grade point average of 3.00 in at least 20 hours of undergraduate history courses. Students with less than 20 hours of course work in history may be accepted, but before their program of study is approved, they must have completed 20 hours of approved junior and senior-level undergraduate courses in history with a minimum grade point average of 3.00. For the Pre-doctoral, Applied, and Enrichment areas, all students must pass a comprehensive examination before the completion of the program.
