Earn an accelerated degree from the University of Central Missouri. UCM provides the sole ABET-accredited bachelor's and master's programs in this field, enabling students to obtain both a BS in Occupational Safety and an MS in Occupational Safety Management (OSM) through an expedited pathway. Begin by enrolling in the Occupational Safety B.S. program, then apply for the accelerated track within the Occupational Safety Management M.S. program during your junior or senior year.

If you're deeply committed to workplace safety, health, and environmental protection, a career in occupational safety management could be ideal. Safety experts are highly sought after across diverse sectors such as construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, healthcare, and government. While quantifying their influence can be challenging, UCM alumni from the BS/MS Occupational Safety Management accelerated program report that their OSM degrees empower them to safeguard lives, protect assets and ecosystems, support business operations, and engage in rewarding regulatory work.

Pursuing both degrees simultaneously offers significant financial advantages. Students appreciate the seamless transition, as up to 9 credit hours from the BS program count toward the MS degree. By the time you complete your BS in Occupational Safety, you may have fulfilled nearly one-third of your OSM graduate requirements through this accelerated option. Advance your career more efficiently—saving time, energy, and resources while progressing at your preferred pace.
