The Master of Science in Interactive Entertainment program at UCF's Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) equips artists, programmers, and producers with industry-relevant techniques, tools, and expertise for success in gaming. This curriculum focuses on game design, programming, 3D artistry, while also developing critical abilities like problem-solving, teamwork, and project management.

FIEA delivers an industry-focused, collaborative learning experience in state-of-the-art facilities at UCF's Downtown Orlando campus. Production teams receive guidance from faculty with professional experience, covering game design, level creation, technical design, collaborative development, rapid prototyping, 3D animation, modeling, technical art, motion capture, software engineering, legal considerations, preproduction, and project analysis. Alumni benefit from internship programs, entrepreneurial support, and recruitment opportunities with leading game and media companies nationwide.

Qualification Requirements

Official, competitive GRE score taken within the last five years. A portfolio of prior work as it relates to their area of specialization (art, programming, production, etc.) sent directly to the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy. Personal Statement of your accomplishments and goals for the future. This program admits students in the fall semesters into production teams. Students will be selected based on the skills they possess and contributions they can make to the production team. Meeting minimum UCF admission criteria does not guarantee program admission. Final admission is based on evaluation of the applicant’s abilities, past performance, recommendations, match of this program and faculty expertise to the applicant’s career/academic goals, and the applicant’s potential for completing the degree. All applicants for graduate study at the University of Central Florida must hold a U.S. bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from a regionally accredited or governmentally recognized institution of higher learning. This is the minimum requirement for admission to a graduate program at UCF. International students applying to programs requiring an outside Course-by-Course Evaluation with GPA calculation must submit a course-by-course evaluation of their official transcripts from a credential evaluation service recommended by UCF. This course-by-course evaluation must show a GPA that is equivalent to a 3.0 from an earned degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree. Minimum UCF Requirement for TOEFL/IELTS TOEFL iBT score of 80 IELTS band score of 6.5
