Pursue a biology major to build a foundation in chemical, mathematical, and physical sciences while gaining comprehensive knowledge across biological disciplines. UCF's Bachelor of Science in Biology program offers flexibility to follow a general biology path or specialize in one of five focused tracks. With guidance from faculty advisors, you can tailor electives to explore niche fields like molecular biology, conservation biology, or marine biology. This program also provides excellent preparation for careers in human or veterinary medicine and other advanced professional degrees.
The curriculum fosters critical thinking while immersing you in diverse scientific concepts from multiple biology specialties. You'll acquire essential scientific competencies including hypothesis formulation, experimental methodology, scientific literature analysis, data interpretation, and specialized lab/field techniques.
