Cognitive Science explores every dimension of the human mind, encompassing thought processes, knowledge acquisition, sensory perception, emotional responses, and social engagement. Due to its expansive nature, this field integrates theories, frameworks, and research techniques from diverse established disciplines such as anthropology, computer science, AI, linguistics, philosophy, psychology, neurobiology, and neuroscience. In recent years, researchers have increasingly recognized that language comprehension requires examining our cognitive abilities and mental operations. Every linguistic act—whether acquiring a native tongue, mastering additional languages, retrieving information from memory, choosing grammatical structures, or coping with language disorders caused by neurological damage—involves cognitive mechanisms. Grasping these mental processes proves essential for interpreting numerous language-related occurrences. Pursuing Cognitive Science provides fascinating avenues to examine language as part of humanity's defining characteristics.
