Our Bachelor of Science in Geology serves as the professional degree program, structured to fulfill California's state accreditation criteria for Geology. This accreditation is mandatory for practicing as a licensed geologist within California. Additionally, the program offers a solid grounding in geology for those pursuing academic, research, or teaching paths. Currently, the institution has not confirmed whether our program satisfies licensure or certification standards in states beyond California. The Geology Major's core curriculum educates students in geological fundamentals, with significant focus on hands-on field learning that leverages southern California's unique natural environment. Through varied elective courses showcasing faculty expertise, students can explore specialized interests. The program concludes with an intensive summer field course, enabling students to put their acquired knowledge and abilities into practice.
