The MSCR MS Program offers a Master of Science in Clinical Research degree, tailored to train physician-scientists pursuing careers in clinical research or biomedical informatics. The program equips participants to:

Develop and execute clinical studies (including trials and observational research)
Secure competitive funding (such as foundation grants, NIH K23 awards, or clinical R01 grants)
Process data and draw meaningful conclusions from research findings
Share results through scientific conferences and medical publications
Evaluate and analyze others' research work
The MSCR MS Program provides two specialized Tracks: one emphasizing Research/Clinical Trials and another catering to physician-scientists focused on Biomedical Informatics.

Full-time participants (committing at least 70% effort) typically complete the program in two years. STAR fellows have up to three years to allow time for manuscript preparation, funding applications (NIH, foundations, etc.), and transitioning into faculty roles.

Qualification Requirements

An international student whose post-secondary education is completed outside of the U.S. is expected to hold a degree representing completion of at least four years of study with above average scholarship from a university or university-level institution.

IELTS Academic overall band score should be at least 7.0 is the minimum required.

TOEFL score on the paper and pencil test must be at least 560 or at least 87 on the internet-based test.
