Transportation fundamentally influences our daily experiences. Whether walking, driving, taking public transit like the Q-line, or flying, how we move has evolved into a critical conversation across diverse fields - from engineering and computer science to education, healthcare, social sciences, business, and legal studies. This is a pivotal moment to examine mobility issues. Self-driving vehicle innovations are transforming automotive production, infrastructure development, and policymaking. Although autonomous vehicle job openings have surged by 833% in recent years, mobility concerns extend beyond automation. Our interconnected society relies on movement, requiring interdisciplinary approaches to address key questions: How can urban centers become more intelligent? In what ways does evolving transportation improve healthcare access and influence wellness habits? What role do data privacy and security play in controlling information about our movements? How do emerging transport options (such as e-scooters, autonomous taxis, and unmanned delivery systems) affect pedestrian and commuter safety? And how might we harness mobility advancements to build fairer, more inclusive communities?
