This two-year, in-person Master of Public Policy program features core classes that impart universal analytical methods, concluding with a collaborative capstone experience. The Applied Policy Project (APP) final assignment trains students in real-world consultancy through teamwork, honing abilities in negotiation, investigation, data interpretation, communication, and advocacy to propose optimal policy solutions.
An international student whose post-secondary education is completed outside of the U.S. is expected to hold a degree representing completion of at least four years of study with above average scholarship from a university or university-level institution.
Preference is given to applicants with a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Additional consideration is given to the strength of the applicant's undergraduate program and its standards. The quantitative nature of the core curriculum requires that attention be given to quantitative and analytical abilities. An elementary statistics course is strongly recommended.
A score of at least 600 (paper-based test) or 100 (iBT) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or an overall band score of 7.0 on the International English Testing System (IELTS) examination is required for applicants whose native language is not English.
