The graduate composition program at our music school is exceptionally selective, seeking students with remarkable intellectual drive who aim to connect deeply through their art. Our distinguished faculty particularly values applicants with a distinctive creative identity. The M.A. and Ph.D. tracks offer concentrations in either Composition or Composition for Visual Media, with the interplay between these disciplines being a defining feature. The curriculum demands rigorous development of sophisticated abilities, encompassing intensive training in music theory, counterpoint, orchestration, analytical techniques, technological applications, performance practice, Western classical traditions, alongside exploration of popular genres, jazz, rock, folk music, and global musical heritage.

Qualification Requirements
