Currently emphasizing Indo-European linguistics and specialized language studies across various linguistic domains, the program also strives to deliver a comprehensive perspective on Indo-European culture. This encompasses comparative linguistics, archaeology, social systems, religious practices, mythological traditions, and poetic forms. PIES hosts an engaging roster of guest lectures, culminating in an annual international conference held on campus each autumn, with active participation from program students. Additionally, the program provides a dedicated reading room stocked with reference materials and academic journals spanning all facets of Indo-European scholarship.
