The finance department has consistently ranked among the world's premier programs. As an academic discipline, finance demands strong quantitative skills. Faculty research primarily targets publication in leading finance journals. Our department embraces diverse research approaches, spanning from empirical macro-asset-pricing models to behavioral and experimental theories. UCLA Anderson's finance program stands out for its exceptional culture of collaboration, surpassing typical academic partnerships. Currently, nearly all our finance faculty members at every level actively collaborate with doctoral candidates. It's particularly noteworthy that many advanced Ph.D. candidates co-author papers with both junior and senior faculty. In fact, a significant portion of influential finance research originates from connections formed at UCLA, whether between faculty members or doctoral students.
