Designed to equip students for professional work in analyzing worldwide musical traditions, our curriculum helps learners comprehend music as a social phenomenon through multiple academic lenses. The program familiarizes students with the field's scholarly evolution, its transformative developments, and research techniques essential for ethnographic studies. Our ethnomusicology training aims to ready graduates for academic positions, public service roles, music business careers, or cultural preservation leadership. Additionally, we provide specialized courses focusing on particular global music traditions and thematic studies connecting music to gender, political systems, spiritual practices, economic factors, philosophical concepts, artistic values, and performance traditions.
